We’ve Lost Another Great One – George Carlin

Ironic that on Friday I posted some comics and thought we could all do with a laugh and then to get the news today that funny man George Carlin has passed away. That saddens me. He was truly one of the great ones despite the fact that so much of his comedy was literally on the edge, though some might say he even crossed that line.

I saw him in concert once here in Florida and my face hurt at the end from laughing so much. He did a body good and I, personally will miss his style of comedy.

Affiliate Marketers Make Millions

Have you been hearing about and possibly thinking about trying to start an internet based affiliate marketing business? It can be a very lucrative business with very low startup costs. This makes it quite attractive for many people who are scared by the thought of starting a new business due to the usual startup costs and the potential risk of failure.

There are many other benefits to an affiliate marketing business such as for example;

1. Can be done from home or anywhere you can get access to the internet
2. Very low startup costs as mentioned above
3. Lots of free information about the business available online in forums, social bookmarking
sites, blogs and other websites as well.
4. The Internet Marketing community, for the most part, contains a group of people who, I
have found tend to be willing to help newbies (newcomers to the field)…not often you find
that in the offline business community.
5. Very short learning curve. No university degree needed. You can earn while you learn the
business.
6. Each little bit of success you achieve motivates you on to greater successes
7. You dictate how much time and effort you want to put into the business which, of course,
also dictates how much you will earn from it. The more you put in, the more you get out.
Not really a new concept right?
8. Unique in the fact that many of the initial things you do to get your business up an running,
are actually going to bring you income for years to come without you doing anything else.

Just understand that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme or scam which most of those usually are. This is a legitimate business opportunity that you can delve into and, if done correctly, there is no reason you should not be able to make a serious income from your affiliate marketing business. One thing to keep in mind is that affiliate marketers do not have scheduled office hours so you must be able to motivate yourself and have self-discipline to put in the time needed to create a successful business.

I would seriously recommend that anyone wanting to start any business either get a mentor or get a guide on how to start. A solid foundation is always best when building anything. Once things are setup right at the beginning and good habits are put into place, everything else should fall into place.

Tim Russert’s Passing

This is nothing about Internet Marketing. It’s all about a great man who has completed his journey of life and i just felt a need to make a post with regard to him and his life. Tim Russert was the moderator or the TV show Meet The Press. He very often had interviews with politicians and Presidents. He always made them honest on his show as he was a tremendous researcher of all of his guests and sometimes, as funny as it may sound, his guests sometimes felt that Tim knew more about them than they themselves did. He was a true professional.

I have never met Tim Russert personally, however, always admired his journalistic talents especially around election times. I am saddened by his passing and think it is a great loss to the United States and journalism as well. This election will be very different without him.

Yesterday, like everyone else, I was shocked to hear the news of his passing and expecially at such a young age. I listened for hours as more and more prominent people spoke about their interaction with and memories of him and got to know Tim a lot better from it. It seems that he was a tremendous human being. My heart goes out to his family and friends who must be feeling a much greater loss.

Life is a journey to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest. Seems that’s what Tim did and we should all follow his example.
